Compaq has built a solid reputation on durability, and this specific model is part of the same Compaq tradition, durable. While uploading many pictures, text data, videos, and other important data into this models hard drive, there was no noticeable drop in performance. Used on the regular basis, I have found this model to be extremely dependable. The 1 GB  of system memory is plenty for any individual who needs a laptop just for personal and entertainment purposes, such as surfing the Internet. The wireless LAN works well, and the speed of the operating systems are to my standards.

The downfalls:

If you are into music and video editing, this basic system may need to be upgraded with Microsoft Windows Vista Premium Edition.

Gamers, stay away. As for most laptops, the internal capabilities are limited for offline gaming purposes. The sound and video cards are basic, and gamers will be limited on what types of games they will be able to play using this model. Most new high graphic video games probably will not be able to work with this model.

(If you are a gamer, and want a computer for gaming purposes, then You may consider purchasing a desktop.)

Over all for this model is a value for the price. You can purchase this product new in the price range of: $500-$600 depending on where you go to purchase it. I would suggest paying no more than $350 dollars for a used Compaq laptop of this model any higher than that I would suggest saving more money and buying the New one.

Usedcheaplaptops.net  gives this laptop (2 Thumbs Up!)
